the STORIES I tell

"What’s one dream you have — that’s actually so easy to make happen today?"

Updated: May 31

Two and a half years ago, the hair color filters started popping up on Instagram Stories — a hot trend — and we were all deep in the pandemic.

I tried two shades: brunette (my natural color, in case you didn’t know…) and pink.

Of course, I shared it.

And then, a guy I had gone on just one date with — but who remained a Facebook friend, full of mutual respect — started a conversation.

He complimented me, saying that any color would look beautiful on me.

And me? I didn’t take the compliment.

Instead, I gave credit to everything but the compliment itself. I dodged the praise.

I remember writing to him, “It’s my dream to go pink.”

And he replied:“How many dreams can you actually make come true that easily?”

That one simple sentence — from someone I had gone out with once, who still held such thoughtful value —was exactly what I needed to hear in that moment.

It gave me the courage to do something I had convinced myself was impossible, for so many reasons.

And ever since then, every time I go pink (this is the fourth time), it’s a breakthrough.

A personal reminder that dreams are meant to be lived — not shelved.

So, dear women — I’m passing the question forward to you:

What’s one dream you have, that’s actually so easy to make happen today?

Because sometimes, that’s how the real dream journey begins.

* כמובן שצריך איזה טלנט כמו Erez Alon להגשים חלומות בדיוק הנדרש... ושתמיד יודע לתת כוח גם הוא!
