the STORIES I tell

They Told Me I’m Too Modest

Updated: May 31

Someone told me I’m too modest about my work. (Quick reminder: I own a creative agency, @pazinteractive.)

At first, I laughed. Me? Modest? That felt off. I’m open, I share—I don’t hold back. But then I started thinking:Why don’t I post more about the incredible projects my team and I are working on?Why isn’t it obvious how much we actually do?

Most of my team has been with me since 2015.

That says something.About the kind of work we do—and yeah, about me too. It means I’ve built a space people want to be in. A team that chooses to stay. That’s not luck. That’s leadership.

We’re building serious things together. Brands. People. Income. Happiness. Joy. PURPOSE. And if I don’t talk about it—how will anyone know?

So I sat with it. Maybe this whole “modesty” thing isn’t just a personality trait.Maybe it’s a belief—one that’s actually been holding me back.

I’ve always given it a good spin: being grounded, staying humble. But in practice? It’s kept me from showing the world the real scope of what we’re building.

Let’s get one thing straight: I’m a powerhouse. The amount of projects I run on a daily/weekly/monthly basis is wild. The people I get to work with—brilliant, kind, creative—handpicked over years of intention. The clients, the collaborations, the co-creations—I genuinely fall in love with what we make.

And when I step back and realize: my work creates abundance, income, belief, and opportunity for others? That’s the dream. That’s why I’m here.

So until I fully rewire that belief, I’ll act as if it’s already changed.I’ll start sharing more. More of the beautiful work we’ve done and continue to do.

And maybe, just maybe, someone else who’s been playing small will see it—and start showing up louder too.

In the photo: The CEO in me. Still grounded. But a lot less hidden.
