International Women’s Day, for me, is personal. It marks my power.

My power as a woman.

My power as a mother.

Being the mother of Shaked and Yonatan (and of course, Yuvali too) is one of the deepest sources of that strength.

Not every woman’s power looks the same—and it shouldn’t.

But me? The reasons I’m here, the why that drives me—it’s them.

That I’m here for them. And they’re here for me.

And of course, it’s no coincidence they were born on March 8th—International Women’s Day.

08.03.2009.

Today, they’re 15.

They used to be “the twins.”

Now? They’re two completely unique people—born one minute apart.

Each with their own life, friends, challenges, wins, wisdom, health, path.

And they are the greatest loves of my life.

They know I love them.

They know I listen.

They know I’m their backbone, their strength, their guard.

I’m f*cking strong—and I protect what’s mine.

And they are a big, beautiful reason to be that way.

I’m also the proud one, the curious one (even when not everything is actually interesting…).

Yesterday, I spoke to a group of 8th grade girls for Girl’s Day.

I told them about the power of thought. About how we can shape our thinking.

About karma.

About persistence.

All the things I teach my own kids—the things I learned later in life,I want them to know now. And they do know it. At 15.

Life isn’t easy.

That’s something I don’t hide from them.

But at the same time—I show them how life can be lighter.

How it can be lived with a little more ease, when we build the right mindset.

I carry deep purpose in this life. And what a gift it is to feel that purpose unfold, day by day, just by watching them grow.

So happy Women’s Day—to me, to the women I’ve raised, to my friends, my sisters, my loves.

And may we never forget—there are women out there who don’t have the protection, safety, or support I fight to give mine every single day.

So the birthday blessing for my lucky, beloved children—I’m passing that wish on.

To the women who need it most.
